Hello all you beautiful people! I just wanted to say hello & give you all a little Milk project update.
Since putting this project out into the world last year in September I have received so many messages and emails of support which just reiterates how important this project really is.
I have already met and photographed some incredibly inspiring mothers and it's been such an honour to hear their stories. It's brings me so much happiness to be able to celebrate them & I am beyond grateful to every single person who has already brought themselves and their voices to this project already.
I have so far accomplished a quarter of that. I am currently focusing on ages 4+ but I really want to celebrate more nurslings that are ages 6+.
I have travelled to Cornwall, Isle of Wight, Salisbury & photographed families locally in Dorset & the New Forest. There are several other locations I am hoping to visit in the coming months. Now that the days are beginning to be longer it feels like it will be much easier to coordinate (I hate driving in the dark!😂).
I have also been working behind the scenes on creating this mini site for this project which I am so happy to finally be able to share. I'm hoping this will make it easier for people to share this project in their local communities and answer any questions that you may have and it is here where I will share any updates about the project.
For those who don't know I am a home educating mother & also the home ed columnist for Juno Magazine so between a busy home ed & family life and running my own photography business there isn't that much space leftover but any leftover space is dedicated to this project. This is my passion project and I will always find a way to make it all work but I have realised I just need to be patient and that I will never be able to do things as fast as I would like! But I am so excited to see where this project will take me this year❤️❤️❤️
in Folkestone, Bristol/Taunton area, North Wales, Birmingham, Manchester, & Whitby area but am open to any areas as long as I can get a minimum of 6 people in the location.
(Oh & this photo was taken last summer of me and my little ones, when my youngest was 4.5, and my eldest 8. He just turned 5 in January and he hasn't had "Numnum" in months so I'm pretty sure our breastfeeding journey has ended but when I ask him if he's finished he says he's not every time😂 so we shall see!)
